FOSIT is an umbrella organization established in 1999 that brings together some sixty NGOs in Italian-speaking Switzerland, all of which are associations and foundations, nonprofit and recognized public benefit, working in development cooperation and humanitarian aid.

FOSIT is part of FEDERESO, a network that brings together seven cantonal federations working in international cooperation.
