The sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury (COP-6) will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 3 to 7 November 2025. During COP-5, the Conference of the Parties elected Osvaldo Álvarez (Chile) as the President of COP-6.
In 2025, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) will co-host the World Hospital Congress, working with the IHF to bring together international hospital leaders and healthcare executives under the banner “Global learning, local action.”
The World Hospital Congress is a unique global forum that gathers IHF Members and leaders of hospitals, health services, and healthcare organizations. This event offers an invaluable learning and networking opportunity, focusing on the latest trends and pressing issues in the healthcare sector.
The Congress features expert-led plenary and parallel sessions, invitational forums, workshops, masterclasses, poster presentations, the IHF Awards Ceremony, hospital visits, the i-to-i Innovation Hub, an industry exhibition, and numerous networking and social opportunities. It is a vibrant hub of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation, where the international healthcare community gathers to learn from each other and enhance local service delivery.
