In a context of increasing ageing, the growing prevalence of chronic diseases and the rising costs of health care will pose a major public health problem in the years to come. This is why prevention and optimization of patient care represent a major challenge for our society.
The law on care networks of January 30, 2007 of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud defines care networks as associations recognized as being of public interest, whose main objectives are improved access to care for the population and enhanced coordination of the entire care chain.
Thus, the Réseau Santé la Côte has the vocation of a public interest organization, whose responsibility is to ensure the population's access to quality care by
The creation of an umbrella network for several programs and channels is an effective way to achieve these objectives.
The Réseau Santé la Côte brings together a large number of health care providers in the La Côte region, including all those recognized as being of public interest. Through its activities, it ensures the coordination of care and the orientation of the user, it advises on the regional health organization, it favors the emergence of care channels, the exchange of data between institutions and the promotion of health.
Réseau Santé La Côte offers its services in the districts of Nyon and Morges (except for the communes and towns in the exemption zone with the Réseau Nord Broye*). It includes 88 communes. Réseau Santé la Côte covers the district of Nyon which is part of "Greater Geneva".
